Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Pick and Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking up items from various locations and delivering them to customers in a timely and safe manner.
Responsibilities:
- Pick Up and Delivery: Efficiently pick up items from designated locations and deliver them to customers, ensuring timely arrivals.
- Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes to minimize delivery time and fuel costs.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on delivery status and addressing any concerns.
- Inventory Management: Check items for quality and accuracy before and after delivery, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the delivery vehicle in good working condition, reporting any issues to management promptly.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, including delivery logs and receipts, ensuring accurate records are kept.
- Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a delivery or logistics role is a plus.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Skills: Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to navigate using GPS and maps.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with local routes and neighborhoods.
